Mammoth Lakes Young Men's Annual Camp Trip. JUL 31-AUG 4, 2023

Hiking the John Muir Trail (below) was actually on the last day, and it was a challenging hike, for me lol. We hiked quite a ways on this trail and eventually came to the place where we saw the Devil's Post Pile Monument and hiked all the way up those steep stairs to see the strange and curious octagon rock tiles looking like a beehive pattern up there at the top of the rock formations. We walked on it and we took pictures there. Just hung out for a little bit soaking it all in and the canyon views below down to the Middle Fork of the San Joaquin River.

We also hung out at the awesome Rainbow Falls. Bike Rides were EPIC we had a five mile downhill coast for most of it, and speeds were exciting and the views spectacular.

It turned out that there was just the right ratio of adult leaders to youth based on the vehicles which we had which were at capacity. It all worked out! So glad to have the time to spend with all of these wonderful people young and older. We had a generally great time!

Much thanks to Curtis Flynn my 2nd Counselor, who with his experience was able to put all this together in a magnificent way.

Here's a video summary of the many exciting and fun events we were involved with. Enjoy!

The campfires at night were a wonderful time of telling stories, fellowship and getting to know each other a little better. So worth it!
