We are getting free instruction from Steve Knight, who is part of the mountain amateur radio club in the area. This is a valuable resource to communicate with family and loved ones in the event that all other forms of communications have failed. It’s not perfect but it’s definitely a cool option for communicating via Ham Radio. So the plan for future instruction and test dates are as follows: -We will have an instruction day which will take most of the day -We will also have a second instruction day and immediately following we will take the test the same day… this too will take most of the day. We need the following input from you: -Please text me at 559-580-0538 that you are interested in the class and give me an idea of which Saturdays for the month of April 2023 and possibly May 2023 will work. I apologize in advance if it doesn’t work for everybody, but I’m trying to accommodate. FCC registration site: you will need to Go to the FCC registration site to acquire your FRN number you’ll need an active email FCC Registration - Login apps.fcc.gov Study manual: the study manual is required, and can be purchased on Amazon. Hello everybody it’s your emergency preparedness and self-reliance coordinator reaching out to everybody😊 Check out this CPR class we had with the youth at the Millar Ranch recently… It was a good group and the youth learned a lot about CPR. They could help save lives if they’re called to perform CPR! You have the opportunity to join us in a First Aid, CPR and AED certification class. It will be held once we get 25 people to sign up… Place and time to be determined based on attendance. It is a 2 1/2 hour course at $65 per person and well worth it.
